Water is an essential natural resource for almost any social and socio-economic activity. In a world with growing water related stress, scarcity and risk there is the growing need for improved use of water resources by society. This can significantly reduce the environmental impact, but also has a major role to play in cost reduction and security of supply. As such, more and more businesses, industries, institutions, utilities and governmental agencies are looking for strategies to reduce water usage. Their aim is to reduce their costs, secure business and deliver on their larger sustainability plans.
This is an invitation for water and other efficiency professionals to focus in this growing area of need such that co-ordinated and meaningful differences can be made when looking at water efficiency.
The Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP) program is an international qualification for professionals. It is specifically designed for improving water efficiency and management. By undertaking the CWEP 2-day trainingprogram, candidates will gain professional instruction that covers the technical and economic principles for effective water efficiency management.
The program offers a comprehensive learning and problem-solving forum for those who want a broader understanding of the latest cost reduction techniques and strategies. This can be followed by a voluntary examination (additional registration and morning required) which could lead to international certification with the US-based Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
